Sacramento

Okay, so let me explain.

When I upload pictures from my computer to the blog, my pictures come up teeny tiny. Really. I can barely make out who is in the picture! So, each of the pictures here also has a "serious" pose, that is on my computer. The pictures were too small to tell if they were the serious ones, or silly ones. So, I just chose one. What are the chances that almost every one I chose was the "silly" one??? I would redo it, but it takes like 10 minutes to upload, and I am tired. So, maybe at a later date, I will post the normal pics. For now, you get to see the craziness!

So I mentioned earlier that Brandon and Natalie didn't make it to Hawaii. Well, when we got home, they flew to Sacramento to visit. Not quite the same as Hawaii, but at least we got to see them!

The kids love Uncle Brandon!

Sincich Christmas 2008

Before we left for Hawaii, we had a fun Christmas get together with the Sincich side of the family! Mom and Dad - Patti and Mike - my sisters - Heather, Alisa and her husband Blair, and their kids Ashley, Devon, Katie and Allie; and April and her husband, Greg, and their kids Brittany, Chelsea, Parker and Cameron were all there! We missed the Kezells in Pennsylvania, and the other Sinciches in Utah! The kids did a "talent" show, and they acted out the Nativity.

Hawaii Christmas 2008
We went to Hawaii for Christmas this year. We were celebrating Cannon's graduation! He finished his MBA program with UC Berkeley/Columbia University! The Holbrook side of the family came with us - Cannon's parents, Joe and Eldene, Cannon's sister and her husband and kids, Holli, Mike, Makayla and Jaycey - were all there. Sadly, Cannon's brother Brandon and his wife Natalie were snowed in in Portland, and couldn't catch a flight. We really missed them! We stayed in a beautiful house on the beach on the North Shore, near Haleiwa. It was wonderful!

We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Waikiki Beach, the International Market Place, Sunset Beach, Kailua Beach, Diamond Head, and of course Matsumoto's Shaved Ice (several times...the house was 5 minutes away!)

The kids loved the beach...boogie boarding, body surfing, and building sand castles were their favorites!

Cannon, Morgan, and Mike took an official surf lesson! Morgan beat both of the boys...she is a natural! Surfer girl!!

There were a few good storms, and an island wide blackout, but we had the best time ever!

Welcome

Welcome to the Holbrook family blog! My sister-in-law Mindy has inspired me! She has a beautiful blog, updated regularly, with a lot of cute stuff on it! I can only aspire to blog on her level! For now, I am just trying to get started!
